Considerations for setting up MYOB Integration with RIC
When setting up Reach and the RIC to work with MYOB, there are a few things to consider:
- All references to the MYO file should be done through the network share. This is because MYOB will not lock the file for exclusive access when it is referenced from a UNC path. The downside to this is that network access is slow.
- Make a copy of the C:\Premier10 folder, and reference the ODBC MYOB Application Path with the copied myobp.exe
- If you run the service under localsystem, make sure 'Interact With Desktop' is checked.
- Importing an invoice will decrement stock as it's imported. However, if there is not enough stock, the import will fail.
- Importing a sales order will NOT decrement stock, however, the import will still be successful if there is insufficient stock.
- The map should replace CR/LF chars and single quotes in the data with spaces and '' (two single quotes) respectively. This is so the SQL syntax stays correct.
